Title Tag

The Title tag is the single most important item of information used to describe a web page. As well as being important to search engines it is also the piece of text that occurs in the top bar of a browser when viewing that page.

It is inserted using the following piece of code within the head section of the HTML:

    <title>Title tag content goes here</title>

It should, as a guideline, be no more than 70 characters, and should reflect the main focus of the page content. All title tags should be unique within a site.
